BIMI Simulator
Preview how your logo looks in supporting inboxes.
Upload your SVG logo and see how it would look beside your name in the inbox, the way Gmail, Apple Mail and Yahoo show a verified BIMI logo. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
This simulator previews how your brand logo would look in the inbox once BIMI is fully configured. It renders your SVG inside the rounded and circular avatar frames that supporting mailbox providers use, so you can judge cropping, padding and contrast before you publish anything live. It is a visual preview only: it does not change your DNS or guarantee display, since whether a logo actually appears depends on your live authentication and certificate.
What you are looking at
Different providers crop logos differently. Gmail and Apple Mail tend to show a circular avatar, while others use rounded squares. A mark that looks balanced as a flat square can be clipped at the corners once masked into a circle, and fine detail near the edges may be lost. Use the preview to check that the logo reads clearly at small sizes, sits centred, and keeps enough breathing room inside the frame.
From preview to a logo that really shows
A good-looking simulation is only the first step. For the logo to appear in real inboxes you need three things in place:
- DMARC at enforcement, meaning a policy of
p=quarantineorp=rejectover all mail, and the message must pass DMARC. Start with enforcement. - A valid SVG Tiny PS logo hosted over HTTPS and referenced in your BIMI record's
l=tag. Validate it with the SVG converter. - A VMC (or, where accepted, a CMC) linked in the
a=tag, which Gmail and Apple require before they display anything.
Once those are met, build the policy with the BIMI generator. If you would prefer the certificate, hosting and DNS handled end to end, our managed service takes care of it.
Frequently asked questions
Does this simulator mean my logo will actually appear?
No. It is a visual mock-up of the avatar frames providers use. Real display still requires DMARC at enforcement, a valid SVG Tiny PS logo published in your BIMI record, and usually a VMC for Gmail and Apple Mail.
Why does my logo look cropped in the preview?
Several providers mask logos into a circle, which clips the corners of a square design. Keep important detail away from the edges and add padding inside the square so nothing essential is lost when the circular frame is applied.
Will every email client show my logo the same way?
No. Support and styling vary: Gmail and Apple Mail use a circular avatar and require a certificate, while some other providers use rounded squares or do not support BIMI at all. The simulator shows common shapes so you can design for the strictest case.
What stops a logo from showing even when BIMI is set up?
The most common causes are DMARC still at p=none instead of enforcement, the individual message failing DMARC, an invalid SVG Tiny PS file, or a missing VMC where the provider demands one.
Do I need a VMC just to test the look?
No. The simulator works from your SVG alone, so you can refine the design first. A VMC only becomes necessary for actual display in providers such as Gmail and Apple Mail.
What size should the logo be for a clean preview?
Use a square (1:1) SVG with the mark centred and a little internal padding. Avatars render small, so a simple, high-contrast logo on a solid background reads far better than a detailed one.
